Private scan confusion please help

Confused and need advice please

So last period was 21st June. I got 6 very strong positives the day before my missed period (attached is 1) according to calculator I'm 7 weeks today.

Went for early scan today and was told I'm measuring 5w (2 weeks behind) so no fetal pole heart bear etc.

I'm really confused (and upset) I don't under stand how I could have had a very strong test 3 weeks ago but only measure 5 weeks.
The scanner wasn't worried and said it's normal but I have a feeling it's not viable/growing.

2 weeks is a lot to be measuring small isn't it??

My first pregnancy I measured 2 weeks behind at the 12 week scan. I was only measuring 10 weeks which was impossible as that would have meant I conceived the same time as I got my positive test. She’s now 12 years old so it doesn’t necessarily mean bad news.

It is hard to know so early... But I would be inclined to agree that it is concerning. 2 weeks is a lot..to get those positives 3 weeks ago you'd needed to have been 4 weeks gone then at least.

At just under 9 weeks I measured 12 days behind and it didn't end well I'm afraid - but I knew from an early scan at 7+4 weeks (where I was 4 days behind) it was unlikely to end well due to a really slow heartbeat.

Unfortunately I had a similar situation to you and it turned out to be a missed miscarriage.

Still confused and my hcg is more than doubling every day. Just a waiting game till the next scan I suppose

This happened to me! I was 2 weeks behind when I was scanned at 7 and 9 weeks. By the time I had my 12 week scan baby had caught up by a week

I measured behind in a pregnancy that ended in miscarriage. I'm sorry; it's not a nice position to be in. It's really a waiting game.

I had similar from a private scan place - I was 7 weeks and they told me I measured 5+3 but not to worry. I'm sorry to say that this turned out to be a missed miscarriage. They told me that if I held my breath I'd be able to see a slight heartbeat - but I'm not convinced there was ever a heartbeat looking back and comparing this scan to other early scans I've had at hospitals/fertility clinics since.

I'm very dubious now about these private scan places - I'm sure that some of them aren't fit for purpose.

Are you able to get an appointment at your local Early Pregnancy Unit to get a second opinion?
