Has BadgerNotes replaced handheld notes?

I keep seeing online and in letters from the hospital about handheld notes and how important it is that I bring these to my appointments and scans, but I don’t have any handheld notes - has the app BadgerNotes replaced these? If so I think I’m good!

Yes, BadgerNotes is now used instead of the old notes.

Not in all trusts, my last pregnancy I had badger app but this time with a different trust I have handheld notes

I haven't heard of badger notes ,I'm 22 weeks pregnant and have handheld notes and I can also see them on "my pregnancy notes" website

Badgernotes in Scotland - total pain in the 🍑 when it decides not to work 🙄 but good if it's working as it should!

My old-school Trust is still all paper notes. No badger notes here (mid and south Essex).

GlobetrottingPercy · 09/08/2023 15:46

Never even heard of badger notes! Both of pregnancies (the last being this year) had handheld notes

Dyra · 09/08/2023 15:47

Not all trusts have it (yet). Mine is only just rolling it out this year.

Mushroo · 09/08/2023 15:50

Mine is online but not Badger. The Trust has its own app. No handheld notes though

Mummy08m · 09/08/2023 15:52

I have both - badger notes and a maternity booklet that things get written into.

Most stuff doesn't get uploaded into either though, like my blood test results and things like that. I've requested them to be emailed before though.

TakeMe2Insanity · 09/08/2023 15:55

My trust uses badger and to an extent has replaced hand held however theres next to nothing in my badger notes so for me handheld would have been better.

That’s interesting, my screening results were published luckily, but all of my results weren’t, which is annoying as I’d have like me to see them

I have handheld notes in my trust.

My SIL claims not to have anything and can't see the results of any scans/tests etc at all.l which I think is bonkers. I've found having my first DC an information overload so being able to refer back to my notes and understand what's going on has been really helpful.

showmethegin · 11/08/2023 11:50

We had both! So most things on badger notes then handheld notes too. Birmingham

allgoodthings84 · 11/08/2023 13:40

My trust has its own online notes system which I don’t have access to and no handheld notes either so I can’t see anything 😞

okthenwhat · 11/08/2023 15:45

I have Badger Notes and paper notes, do I win a prize?😆

Badger Notes for most things but apparently the sonographer is on a different system so I have paper notes for scans.

Hummusanddipdip · 11/08/2023 15:48

My trust still uses handheld and a website called my pregnancy notes, which is where I let my trust know I was pregnant.

haha I’ve just got BadgerNotes, I assume my sonographer can use it as I turned up to 12 week scan with nothing lol
