Hi, I'm just wondering. My partner of 4 years has recently told me he and his ex had multiple (x10) miscarriages before the birth of their son (10y)
We've been recently talking about starting our own family and we're really excited but I'm worried too. Does this mean there is a higher chance i will have multiple miscarriages too? They didn't have a cause for what caused theres so not sure if it was male or female factor? Thanks x x x

Gosh. 10 must have been really hard. Did they have any investigation or treatment? I'd be surprised if they hadn't at least had semen analysis done since it's less invasive.

It totally depends on what caused the miscarriages as to whether you're more at risk than the average woman.

@Whataretheodds he doesnt really want to talk too much about it so its hard to get more info. Which is understandable. He said no investigations were done, and they didnt know the cause. I suppose this was 10+ years ago? Not sure what the procedures were back then

OK. Number 1 is that if he is unwilling to talk about it I'd query his readiness to TTC with you.

Would he be willing to have semen analysis? (Basically he'd have to jizz in a cup)

@Whataretheodds thanks for the reply. Yes he's agreed to have his sperm checked. Hopefully this gives us some clarity on our future for ttc

My friend and her ex suffered 4 losses. (They split within about 6 months of the 4th)
They didn't know why and had not got to the stage of finding out as we were quite young still at the time.

They both had surprise babies early in their next (current) relationships!

I hope it is similar for your partner, that things don't repeat.

@AuntMarch thank you so much. That really gives me hope ❤️❤️
