Line Progression Stopped?

Hi all,
according to my cycle tracker app (Flo) I am currently 16 dpo (4wks) and have had on and off mild cramping. Ovulation was predicted on the 22nd July and on the 29th July (7 dpo) I had a BBT dip. Following this I had mild spotting and cramps on 10 dpo (suspected implantation) in the same day a got a faint positive on easy@home and a ‘pregnant’ on CB digital 6 days early. Since then I have been testing every day, AF was due on sat (I have a 26/27 day cycle) and I am late but I’m worried as my lines don’t seem to be progressing. I have spoke to my GP earlier on today and they won’t see me until I am 8 weeks and advised if I have any bleeding to go to the EPU. Any advice would be much appreciated as I am preparing for the worst.

I don't think those tests are the easiest to see line progression on. My advice would be to try to distract yourself for a few days and then test again. It should by then be much darker. There's sadly nothing that can be done by the GP or EPU at this stage. It's just a case of having to wait and see.

Hopeful all's okay for you

Hi,
thankyou for your reply :) hopefully I have the patience to wait 2/3 days before re-testing and with any luck I get my BFP. I’m so nervous about it being a chemical but as you said all I can do for now is wait. Thankyou!

There’s definitely progression there. Hcg takes around 48 hours to double so no point testing every day as you won’t see the difference. Best not to keep testing as it causes stress but if you must keep it to every other day and use first morning urine to try and keep it as consistent as possible

Pixiapple · 07/08/2023 19:28

@PickledScrump thankyou I appreciate your response. Very true it’s just so daunting not having a dye stealer yet but I guess my dates could be slightly off. I’m not going to fall into the trap of testing again tomorrow 🤞Thankyou again :)

@Pixiapple oh if you want due stealer, need to get a Boots early test or frer. I had non dye stealers on cheaper less sensitive tests until quite a few days after my period was late.

PickledScrump · 07/08/2023 20:05

@Pixiapple i didn’t get a dye stealer until 6 weeks on a frer, and I never got one on those tests.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 oh thanks I’ll pick up a boots early tomorrow, FRER is completely sold out in my boots so I’ll give Amazon a try and hopefully with any luck I’ll get a darker line soon☺️

@PickledScrump well that’s such a relief and given me so much more hope, I thought I may have been completely out of having a sticky bean. I’ve been bad with micro analysing every symptom and test after previous MC. Thankyou😊

All being well I can update this thread with some good news. Thankyou both for being incredibly helpful😊

@Pixiapple frer are discontinued as they had an indent issue. Boots early results tests are the next best though and cheaper.

**Update for anyone who may come across this thread going through anything similar.

Unfortunately i did end up having a chemical. I started lightly cramping from Monday 7th Aug (16 dpo) and on Tuesday 9th Aug (17 dpo) I had light watery pink spotting which began in the morning with lower abdomen and lower radiating back pain. So I took another two pregnancy tests and the lines were almost non existent. The flow and colour of the discharge changed around 5/6pm where it became heavier and bright red. I went along to the EPU to have some blood and urine tests, to be later told that my urine test was negative and Hcg level was at 5.

@Pixiapple I'm so sorry. Hate the term chemical as well as it trivialises how it feels. Hope you're okay

I’m pretty heartbroken I guess whatever’s meant to be will be, it just wasn’t my time then. I know exactly what you mean as if it was never a ‘real pregnancy’.

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Thankyou so much for asking how I am it means a lot bless you :)
