5 weeks pregnant today after a blighted ovum in April. Looking to speak to others that are 5 weeks pregnant also to chat with! How are yous getting on?

I am also 5 weeks today as per my LMP. Unfortunately I suffered two early MC’s in March and May of this year so I am holding my breath this time around! Obviously telling no one so this is my only salvation!

Congratulations! Really sorry to hear about your losses, remember this is a new pregnancy there is such a good chance this time it will be ok!

I'm good, not lots of symptoms - I have a private scan booked for 20th august when I'll be 6+6, really hope this is it this time! How's things with you?

Congratulations! Hope you don’t mind me joining - according to my Flo app I’m 5 weeks and 1 day (based on LMO) and due date is 8 April.

Symptoms so far have just been tiredness (can’t go a day without a nap and am fast off by 9pm every night when I usually lie awake until midnight!!) - and increased appetite…Constantly hungry!

I have also had a few lower abdominal cramps and boobs definitely seem bigger and heavier 😅 Still doesn’t feel real though, I am thinking of booking an early scan as I think waiting another 7 weeks might be torture!!

Yes I've had some cramps, sensitive nipples, not really noticed a difference in my boobs, very thirsty and tired and have had a headache the last 5/6bdays, I seem to be ok today tho headache wise. I've 2 weeks until my scan but extremely nervous as I had my MMC in April x

Oh that’s great news that you’ve only got a couple of weeks to wait until your scan. I think I will follow suit and get a scan booked. I keep doing tests to check the line is getting darker.

So sorry to hear about your MMC. This is my first pregnancy but my sister and best friend have recently both had MMCs early on so I think it is at the forefront of my mind. My partner wants to tell his parents and siblings but I think we ought to wait until we’ve had a scan to confirm.

Will keep everything crossed for you and sending all the good thoughts your way. Would be great to stay in touch and see if we end up with babies born the same day!

Yeah I'm so so worried, we had told all our family the last time and tbh I'm so glad we did as we really did need that support system, we've also told them all this time again.

I just can't wait to go for my scan, my miscarriage was a blighted ovum so it was one of those things it was totally out of control and not really caused by a certain issue so hoping it was a one off! I don't know how I'd cope if it happened again. Yes definitely im up for keeping in touch!!

Yeah that is a good point, I think I am going to tell my closest friends and immediate family in the next week or so as you say, for a support network. I did another test this afternoon and the line is getting darker by the day which is giving me reassurance.

Yes that’s true - once you’ve had that scan I am sure it will put your mind at ease that everything is as it should be x

Symptoms today - actually a lot less tired then yesterday thankfully. Needing to wee a lot more today though and boobs still big and sore! How are you feeling today? X

Just wanted to say I suffered a blighted ovum at the end of June.. It was honestly horrific & the torture of it is just the worst thing I've been through.. I've since however tested positive, had a heavy bleed, but still testing positive.. Unfortunately the EPU won't see me for a couple of weeks, so another waiting game here also! Hope you don't mind if I stalk you a little on here 🤣 I really love seeing the happy endings 🥰

I'm really sleepy, very sensitive and pronounced nipples and took an aversion to my crisps today! Not like me at all as I love crisps 😂 pressure in my pelvic area as well, no sickness or anything as of yet but heard a lot of people say weeks 6-8 is normally when sickness hits if we are one of the ones to be hit by it!

Things got a little eventful today! Unfortunately I woke up around 4.30am this morning with light period cramps and some brown spotting. The spotting only lasted two wipes but after my previous I was petrified! I ended up calling EPU around midday as the cramps hadn’t improved and they asked me to come straight up (I actually had another MC in sept 2022 before 7 weeks and I found out today that around my region 3 b2b MC’s warrants a referral to recurrent MC unit!) They took my bloods and told me my hcg levels were just over 4,800. Which apparently is good. I can’t remember the progesterone but I think maybe 89? I remember she said the level was ok too. Also had a scan due to high hoc and although it was too early for a heartbeat (measured 5+2 although my app says the same as you), we saw a gestational sack, yolk and a very tiny fetal arm!

Ive been prescribed progesterone pessaries (which I basically begged for I’m
not going to lie, ha) and booked in for a scan on the 18th where I should be 6+5 according to the hosp.

I really hope this is it for you too! It’s going to be hard to wait for the scans but we can all but stay positive. Please do keep us updated with how you get on next weekend?

Oh no not crisps I love a bag of crisps! 😂 my appetite has increased but not off anything yet (touch wood!) yes I’ve heard the sickness starts in a couple of weeks. I’ve managed to get a 6 week scan on Monday - want to check viability before telling in-laws but also keen to tell them as we have so many family events coming up that it’s getting difficult to hide behind the not drinking excuses!

My old account @VicH13 isnt working for some reason so im on my ancient one haha but we are also going well too!! 🤞🏽. Currently 8 weeks + 2 ( I’ve had two scans and they’ve moved me on a few days after looking at baby!) Now just waiting for a midwife to get in touch!

How are you feeling in yourself? I hope you’re well. The only thing I have really is nausea/ vomiting in the morning and humongous heavy boobs🤣🙈 xx

@31andTrying sorry it wasn't letting me reply. Currently 9 weeks 3 days. Last had a scan at 8 weeks 2 days and everything's looking great. Got my 12 week scan 22nd September the day before I go on holiday! I'll be 11 weeks 3 days.

My symptoms have eased a little bit last 2 days which is making me nervous however I have heard this is common when the placenta takes over around 9 weeks

Hi @bettyha glad to hear you’re doing so well! A few ladies I had spoken to have unfortunately miscarried, so I was hoping to hear from you soon!

Currently 10 weeks (been moved on again slightly). Was scanned again on Wednesday after having reduced symptoms for 2/3 days and everything was fine. Even saw baby wriggling around which was so lovely! Looked so baby-like I had to get a scan pic too lol. It’s the first time I’ve gotten this far though so I’m trying to enjoy it ❤️

Since then I’ve actually had pretty bad sickness, spewed up in Asda car park today even! Boobs still big and sore and the exhaustion is kicking my ass royally! Sleep has also become a thing of the past lol.

I am still waiting for my 12 weeks scan date but I’m so glad you have yours! Please update if you can, I’ll be thinking of you on 22nd 😘xx

Aww I'm so glad to hear everything is well with you!!

My maternity unit aren't the best, they won't see you for early scans etc unless you're bleeding or had 3 miscarriages.

I've paid for my last 2 scans. I'm anxious because my symptoms aren't as strong however I don't know if my other half will be too happy with me paying for another scan haha! They ain't cheap😂

I know everything is probably ok and there's nothing really to prove otherwise. I did see baby only a week and a day ago and I know that after 8 weeks the miscarriage rate drops significantly so I'm hoping everything will be all good at my nhs scan!!

Mine is the same too tbf, I unfortunately was under the recurrent miscarriage clinic (had 3 b2b in 10 months). I haven’t paid for any as I know they’re very spenny!

Just a quick message as I’ve finally received my scan date a week today! I should be between 12 - 12 +3 weeks so looking forward to seeing how things are 🤞🏽 never gotten this far and the wait has been terrible!

I was really getting in my head last week so booked a private scan and everything was great, baby was throwing their arms and legs about it was amazing!
