Breech at 35 weeks

... fourth baby (although last was 7 years ago). The presentation was picked up in an unrelated scan to check the cord blood flow.

Has anyone been told their baby was breech at 35 weeks only for them to turn later on? The midwife said there's still time, but I have niggling feeling it's quite late for a baby to turn. My bump is so tight and it really feels like there's not much room in there for manoeuvring.

I've no experience with this kind of presentation with previous babies, they've all been pretty normal/head down experiences throughout from what I remember.

Has the MW said what will happen if they don’t ?

Not really, she said not to worry myself and overthink at the moment. And that if baby is still breech in a few weeks they'd have 'a chat' with me.

It just seems so late in the pregnancy not to worry

But it’s your fourth, so I wouldn’t worry yet.

Definitely time to turn, my DD was breech at 35 weeks, they weren't concerned and said if she was still breech at 37 they'd book me in for an ECV. She had turned by the next scan.

My friend had a baby 2 week ago who was breech the whole way through when she turned up for the ECV at 39 weeks the baby had turned herself.

Look at the spinning babies website, I think there are tips there how to get the baby to turn naturally.

Thanks all. Just had a scan (Doppler for cord issue) and she's head down today 🙈

It's amazing how they can do a full turn within a few days. I did check out Spinning Babies and have been doing the exercises so maybe it's that 😁
