crossing your legs is bad for your circulation, especially during pregnancy, so isn't really a good thing.

At 33 weeks it's a little too early for the baby's head to be engaged. I don't know about the old wives tale, but I certainly noticed when both my babies engaged.

Erm, no idea but I'm 37 weeks and I can cross em! Spose it depends on your legs and hips

I also knew when both of mine engaged and I could still cross my legs.

LOL I think I stopped being able to cross my legs at 20 weeks

But then again I have short fat legs

I think you waddle more after the baby's head has engaged, not sure about the leg crossing thing, but agree 33 weeks is very early for the head to be fully engaged.

Oops, am reading this with crossed legs, and am 34+5. will uncross this second...

5 weeks to go and who knows where LO head is, my legs r too damm fat to cross them!

MissingMyHeels · 27/02/2008 22:16

38+2 and I can still cross my legs and baby is almost fully engaged so I wouldn't take that as an indication of engagement...
