I m 36+4 pregnant, I have got this boil under my armpit which is paining terribly and I m unable to move my hand or sleep as well.

I have been prescribed with antibiotic mupirocin but it's not that effective on me I suppose.

Anyone had such boils in pregnancy how you dealt with it?

I also have small acne kind under breasts due to sweat(I don't know what it is called as :p) now boil its like I m living with all kind of pimple boil pain :(

I have had these, they started after my second pregnancy and I get them regularly, I did find they got worse with hormonal contraceptives, so it could be the hormones that cause them. I use a magnesium sulphate paste and a dressing to draw the boil. It takes a couple of applications but it’ll draw the pus out and shrink it back down. You have my sympathy, mine got so bad I’d sometimes have one under each arm and get them at least once a month sometimes more. They’re really unpleasant

Yeah @PickledScrump it's terrible isn't it!! Even mine is reoccurring and it's all hormonal I believe but being heavily pregnant and having deal with this is really making me sick 😞 hope this drains out soon !😞

Wash armpits with 'hibiscrub' can buy at boots and Amazon etc
It's a anti bacterial and anti fungal wash, will stop anymore lumps coming up!
Vicks or tea tree oil can help dry it up. Hot showers will help too

If the boil is getting larger and more painful you may need an oral antibiotic or even incision & drainage. A topical antibiotic will not treat an abscess. Speak to your GP or NHS 111

Yes mine was getting worse and raised my temperature too, visited my GP and got incision and drained it!! Somehow relieved now bit!Smile
