SCH bleeding

Hi everyone, I've had bleeding for 2 full days now started brown now red.

Only ever filled a pad once, but every time I wipe there seems to be blood, only had one wiped were they're has been several tiny clots. (Currently 6+4)

Phoned EPU they said all sounds okay doesn't sound like a MC.

Has anyone got experiences from a SCH that is comforting, I'm really worried incase the baby doesn't make it I don't have another appointment at the EPU until 18th of Aug.

Possibly going to pay for a private scan on sat if the bleeding doesn't stop for hopefully some reassurance.

I've googled how long a SCH bleeding can last and there is no definite answer apart from can last the full 1st trimester if the SCH isn't absorbed in the body that is why you bleed.

I had a SCH on the Friday night - lots of blood, filled a sanitary pad or two. Over the weekend there was brown blood when wiping, and I used sanitary towels but thinner liners would’ve been fine. Had a scan the following Thursday and the little embryo’s heart was beating away, oblivious to all the anxiety and stress in the outside world.

That was the only bleed I had - now 27 weeks pregnant.

If EPU won’t scan you until 12 weeks then it’s probably worth the private scan, else that’s a long wait. I hope everything’s ok for you.

Thanks for replying that is very reassuring, my flow is not even filling a pad just when I wipe every time there is light red today , which I'm thankful it's not as heavy as the yesterday.

Yes I think me and hubby will try get a private scan on Saturday just for a little ease on the mind, both our heads doing overtime 🤯
