Pain after D&c (trigger w - miscarriage)

Hello!

I had a d&c under general anaesthetic a week today for a “failed” 11 week pregnancy.

I have had next to no bleeding which isn’t massively unusual for me, but the pain seems to be more noticeable. My belly is sore to touch and I feel like it’s uncomfortable to sit on my bum. The first night hope I felt like the pain was unbearable, again in my bottom rather than my belly… but it eased off and I had a few days of next to no pain.

I wasn’t given any information or instructions before I left, i don’t have any discharge either, no signs of infection. What are other people’s experiences?

I have had a couple of these in the past and tbh I never had much pain afterwards beyond a bit of cramping. I think you should speak to the hospital about the pain. Did they give you contact details in the discharge paperwork?
