In Italy, lake Garda to be precise, on our holidays and I’ve been bite 3 times by I’m assuming mosquitos? I’m worried about the newest one, it only came up this morning and I’ve monitored it closely all day, tried my hardest not to scratch and put a cool compress on it as soon as we came back from our bus tour to hotel. Haven’t been able to get to a pharmacy to get any antiseptic cream. I’ve noticed the area around has gotten redder. It’s not hot or swollen but it’s gotten redder and very itchy. Should I be worried about infection? Should I ask hotel to contact Italian doctors tomorrow for advice? I’ve attached two pics. One is this morning when I discovered bite and second pic is tonight after I got showered and noticed it had gotten redder and very itchy. What is everyone’s opinion? We are due to fly home on Wednesday morning. I’ve a slight redness on both legs as i for sunburnt a few days ago but the general surrounding redness has defintely increased. I feel ok so far and no temperature etc. Thank you

it’s likely a mosquito bite.
no need to do anything except try not to scratch it.

It looks pretty normal to me. See if you can get some safe antihistamine from the pharmacy. If it starts to get hot or swell more, then draw a line around it and track the redness.

You're fine, it's a mosquito bite

It really just looks like a normal mozzie bite. It will be itchy for a few days but will get better by itself. No need for anything else.

It's fine. It's a mozzie bite. It'll be one of many before you return. You don't get anything horrible from the bites in Europe stop worrying and enjoy your holiday

It looks like a normal mosquito bite. Why would you put antiseptic on it?

It’s a normal bite, they don’t usually get infected but if you want to kill germs you can apply a little alcohol or salt mixed with water :)

Hot compress will take the itch away hot water in a cup onto the bite if no towel

You don't need a doctor. Take an antihistamine and get some hc from the pharmacy
