I am terrified.

Last November I had a MMC at 10 weeks (stopped at 9). Now I’m exactly 9 weeks today and my symptoms are all gone.

I haven’t been nauseous since Friday, my boobs were still sore this morning, but now nothing. All gone.

I managed to get an emergency scan in 3 hours from now, but I’m terrified. Please help. Did you ever experience this and was it ok? ☹️

Thanks!

Yes, and I did the same as you and booked a private scan as I'd had a mmc before also. It was all okay and at the scan they said they could see my placenta had formed and that's why I'd be feeling better. That was with my son two years ago. I actually got the nausea back again a few days after and it finally went away properly at about 13 weeks.

This time around I'm 12 weeks now and started feeling a bit better at around 10 weeks. I had a private scan again a couple of days ago, and my placenta had formed again. It's between 8-12 weeks apparently, and it takes over hormone production.

Good luck for your scan today

Thank you! That sounds reassuring! I'm glad it was all good for you! I am terrified. Please keep your fingers crossed for me!

@readingismycardio keeping my fingers crossed for you. I understand how you feel, I was terrified at every scan with my son, and still terrified now. I think it's hard to trust your body after.

If it helps also, a lot on my birth group were worrying and fretting about feeling better at 9-11 weeks, and the 12 weeks scans are coming in now okay

I'm 10+5 and similar - I'd been nauseous with sore boobs up until exactly 10 weeks and feel so much better now (first pregnancy). I've read the placenta can take over from 10 weeks and HCG declines to, meaning symptoms can lessen.

You could just be getting to the part of pregnancy where it gets a little easier for you. Fingers crossed that's all it is! Really hope the scan goes well, let us know x

I had many "scares" like this the pregnancy after my MMC. It is so anxiety inducing and any time my symptoms improved I'd panic.

However, symptoms naturally ebb and flow so there's really no need to worry. Easier said than done!

I also booked a reassurance scan, though didn't really feel comfortable in the pregancy until about 20 weeks when I was feeling daily kicks!

It's such a mental roller coaster.
