Reduced movement at 21 weeks

Hi guys, I’ve been feeling my baby move for a few weeks now. Earlier today he was moving really erratically and so fast I could literally see my belly shaking from the moving and since then I haven’t felt him move at all. Is this a concern at this stage in the pregnancy? I know movement is sporadic at this stage so don’t know whether to be concerned or not :(

If you’re concerned go and see your midwife or go to the maternity unit at your local hospital. Sorry, it’s been years since I was last pregnant so I can’t remember much, but I’m sure they’d rather see you and check you over.

Definitely get seen at your local maternity unit tonight, don't lay awake worrying.

Call your midwife if you're worried but it sounds very normal.

Mine all did this erratic movement.

Movement will not become regular until around 24-28weeks so don't panic x

How are you today? I hope you got some reassurance last night, either by baby moving or speaking to triage.
I had reduced movements at 24 weeks, they didn't put the belt on but decided to growth scan me instead (she has suspected fgr). Then when a consultant came to see me after she told me they aren't usually concerned about movements until 28 weeks+. That made me feel really shit. But i'd call them again if I felt i needed to, however now im 27+2 but hopefully won't need to go back 🤞

Mine had very sporadic movements throughout. Sometimes kicking and wriggling all day, other times I could go days without feeling much and get nervous. But it was a normal pattern with him.
But always get checked out if you’re really feeling as if something is wrong. If I remember correctly I’m not sure they check much with reduced movements until after 24 weeks though as movement does vary a lot before that (but I may be wrong so don’t take my word on that).

This is exactly the same as what I’m going through. I am 22+1 and for the last week I have felt baby pretty much all day, everyday. Yesterday and today, the movements have been much less. They say no regular movements until much later on so not to worry but it’s hard not too. Have you tried the drinking a cold sugary drink and laying on your side? Also, where is your placenta?
