‘Maternity’ work clothes/dresses

Hi,
I’m after some recommendations for some work clothes that I will be able to wear as my pregnancy progresses - but think I’m asking for a miracle.

I’m a secondary teacher, so need that kind of vibe, but am also a size 16/18 to begin with. I don’t really want things that are very clingy - I’m normally a black trousers and empire line top person for work.

Should I just go for midi dresses in a size up!? Last time I was pregnant, it was the pandemic and so I just lived in leggings and my husband’s tshirts 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you! 🤰🏻

Same size as you, I got lots of bits really cheaply on Vinted - found H&M mama or Seraphine size L or 16 the best fit. Few pairs of leggings, few midi dresses.

Hi @Pipperleen congratulations on your pregnancy! Any dress i liked i got a couple of sizes up and it looked lovely. I shopped at Next and M&S x

H&m have a really good maternity selection, I got some plain black trousers and a few blouses there. Also New Look online. Matalan can be hit and miss too.

Thank you all of you - some great suggestions. Hadn’t even thought of Vinted!

Definitely try Vinted! I've had a few bits from there cheap and I'm a size 18 and pregnant. I'll be selling all my stuff on there too once he's born.

Asda George also has a good and cheaper maternity range for work stuff.
