Successful stories of pregnancy after miscarriage

I got a BFP a few days ago after having a miscarriage in March. It was really unexpected as I had an early private scan at 8 weeks and everything looked fine. Then at my 12 week scan they picked up on many issues and baby’s heart stopped beating about a week later.

I know the odds of having a healthy, normal pregnancy after a miscarriage are quite high but I’m still incredibly worried. I want to be excited but feel like this dream could be shattered at any moment. I just wanted to hear your stories of successful pregnancies after miscarriage for reassurance ❤️

First off, congratulations!!! I had a loss at 6 weeks, and then had my awesome son. Then unfortunately I had to have a TFMR at 24 weeks, but then I had my beautiful daughter. She's now 17 weeks and the light of my life.

My first pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage. I now have a 20 year old daughter from my 2nd pregnancy.

I don't know if miscarriages were generally less talked about then or if it's just because I didn't know many people who had been pregnant, but at the time, I had no idea how common losses are with a first pregnancy (which meant that it came as even more of a shock for me).

Since that time, I have talked to many, many women who have suffered a miscarriage and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy.

so sorry for your previous loss ♥️

My first pregnancy resulted in a mmc at 9 weeks. I feel pregnant before getting another period and my baby turns 5 months next week.
Wishing you all the best ✨

I had a mmc at 9 weeks.

Followed by 3 successful pregnancies- albeit with horrific sickness (they were worth it).

I worried all through with my eldest but with the other two I was just too busy.

I in 8 of all known pregnancies end in miscarriage, and it’s thought even more end very early, before the patients confirmed they were pregnant, so it’s extremely common, OP.
And most women do go on to have a successful pregnancy- less than 1% of women suffer three or more miscarriages.
I had one myself at 8 weeks, which I concealed as I didn’t want to risk my job contract not being renewed if they knew I was trying for a family. My colleague smuggled me into the scan room for a quick ultrasound to check if I had any retained products, after I’d been bleeding for ten days. I went on to have two healthy children, at the age of 33 and 35.

I'm so sorry you had to go through this! It's so difficult to relax and enjoy a pregnancy fully after a miscarriage. I had 2 perfectly normal pregnancies and then tried for #3 and miscarried at 10 weeks, it was awful but we kept trying after and it took 3 months but I had my beautiful now 10 Yr old lg.
We then decided to try for a 4th but I miscarried again about the same gestation (strangely both miscarriages were due around the same time and both ended around the same time too. We decided to stop trying after this but our happy accident is currently asleep on me 6mo. I sometimes wonder what our life would look like if 1 or both or the pregnancies had stuck but wouldn't change my 2 older boys or my 2 girls for the world!

Thank you all so much for your responses and so sorry for all that you have been through. I had my first miscarriage 11 years ago and back then it was unheard of to discuss it and I was told by my family to keep it a secret, especially from work. I’m glad more people are talking openly about it because it is so so common but it doesn’t make it any easier.

Lovely to hear so many beautiful success stories after such a difficult time. It gives me hope. I have a scan booked soon for 7 weeks but probably won’t start relaxing until we’ve had the 12 week scan.

I had a healthy pregnancy seven months following a miscarriage. I miscarried early at around 6 weeks.

8 miscarriages, first 15 weeks, then others were 8 weeks. infection caused blocked fallopian tubes. Tubal surgery, then pregnancy ( now aged 30!) and ectopic pregnancy 6 years later.

My first pregnancy resulted in MC in 2006. I was distraught.

I got pregnant soon after. She's now a strapping 5 foot 9 16 year old anxiously awaiting her GCSE results.

I was a nervous wreck throughout the pregnancy but she was born a day over due date, 8 lbs 7.5 oz and she's my absolute world. I also have a 12 year old too.

I had a misscariage after two healthy baby girls then had my little rainbow baby who's just gone 4. How almost 12 weeks pregnant with baby 4.. good luck ❤️
