Faint tests

Feeling a bit frustrated! I’m only 11DPO but yesterday I took about 8 tests (I know excessive but TTC for a while now and was very excited to see a line) every one of them had positive lines, they were so faint they wouldn’t show on camera but my partner and mum could see them too! Now today I woke up super excited to take a test but they’re equally as faint as yesterday? Am I most likely having a chemical or can this happen?

HCG only doubles every 48-72 hrs. It is reasonable to compare tests 24 hrs apart. It is recommended to wait until after AF is due to test again. I'm not trying to be insensitive, but you will drive yourself crazy by testing so much.

@Jess1997, all of my early tests were stronger in the afternoon than in the mornings even though I was definitely more hydrated! The day after I got a faint positive I had a 'negative' in the morning but on another test in the afternoon the line was back and I'm now 20 weeks

@worried89 it’s been 3 days of faint positives now.. starting to think the worst

What brand of test are you using? some, like clearblue for example are notoriously bad at having lines when negative.

make sure you’re using fmu only as it’s still early. Also, although hcg doubles every 48-72 hours in the early days that’s still really low numbers, for example 20 to 40 so will still show faint lines. As a pp said testing every day is pointless as hcg won’t have risen so there won’t be any difference. Stick to testing every other day and once you get a definitive positive stop testing

@PickledScrump I’ve been using easy@home boots early response and some cheapies!
