Just looking for some hope and stories of people who have got pregnant after an Ectopic pregnancy where they had to have a fallopian tube removed?
If so how long did it take to get pregnant after your ectopic once you started trying?
I had an ectopic in March and had my right tube removed. This was my second pregnancy with my first being normal and healthy.
I am ready to try again but I'm scared and nervous and loo look my for some hope 🙏🏼
Thank you 😊

Yes my first pregnancy was ectopic and I also had my right tube removed in the summer 2006. It took me over a year to get again pregnant again but I had my first daughter in July 2008 and my second daughter December 2010.

Hi, don't worry! You only need one tube. Like you I had an ectopic years ago in Feb, was pregnant by May.

I've not had an ectopic but I've only had one fallopian tube & ovary since long before we even started having children and I'm currently pregnant with my third with no problems getting pregnant :) sorry for your loss & best of luck to you

I had an ectopic and tube removal in October last year, started trying again after 3 months, had an early loss that first month and successful pregnancy the following month. Currently 23 weeks laying in bed feeling baby wriggling away and trying to force myself to get up! There most definitely is hope. Good luck OP.

Not yet 😢
But we've only been trying a few months

I had an ectopic last year. My tube wasn't removed but it was left blocked by the medical management of it. I had to wait 3 months before we could try again and fell pregnant straight away. Currently 27 weeks. Good luck to you.

I had my tube removed for an ectopic in 2008.
We didn't try again for a year but then DS1 was conceived in 2 months, DS1 in just one month.
Both are now ar secondary school.
The forums on the ectopic pregnancy trust pages are great for acurate information.

Hi yes I had an ectopic pregnancy and tube removed then became pregnant 6 months later.

My gp got me an early scan to check things were in the right place and this eased my nerves a bit so might be worth asking for that when you’re pregnant.
Be kind to yourself, it’s natural to be nervous.

My friend accidently got pregnant twice (once on the pill) and she's had some tube removed. She didn't expect to still be so fertile haha

One tube removed*

alargeoneforme · 28/07/2023 12:12

Yes, I got pregnant 4 months later with twins. All went well and they are now 10 years old.

SmartiesParty · 28/07/2023 20:54

Yes got pregnant the first month of trying having had my tube removed for an ectopic when I was younger. Hope that's reassuring!

My best friend had a tube removed due to ectopic and 4 months later was pregnant with non identical twins!! That other ovary worked extra hard :)
good luck!

YukoandHiro · 29/07/2023 06:51

Yes a friend of mine has, but by IVF.

I actually got pregnant from the ovary on the side my fallopian tube has been removed. Apparently the egg just floats over
