How long did it take you to get pg after a miscarriage

Hi everyone - I am killing time waiting for a D&C tomorrow after an mmc and am determined to try and be positive (will see how I'm doing at 10.30 tomorrow though). I am trying to focus on picking myself up and dusting myself down - so..if you have unlucky enough to have a miscarriage, how long did it take you to see a + test again ?

My dh is also really upset (perhaps more than me because I always felt deep down something was wrong with this pregnancy but he didn't have this advantage) and I'd like to be able to give him some hope too.

(and good luck with your pregnancies!)

I had my ERPC 16 Nov 07 Period 20 Dec so 33 days, norm I am 28 days , to the day. But I think that is pretty unusual to be that regular post ERPC.

hoping this one sticks around, meggie!

yes, i was told it's usually 6-8 weeks after ERPC for a period to return.

I started to miscarry at 5 weeks, and a complete miscarriage was confirmed at a scan at 6 weeks and also tested negative with a urine test at the hospital.

3 weeks after that I tested positive again - very faint line but it got stronger and stronger over a few days. Am now 6 weeks.

For me, I couldn't wait a month for period to come. I needed to know I could be getting pregnant again. I treated it as a late period and I knew i was ovulating so just went for it.

But every is so different about what gets them through the loss.

Congrats to you, too, Meggle!

IIRC you were on the same antenatal thread - due in July, 2008.

Glad to see you're pregnant again .

I had a m/c last October..I knew something was wrong..had bit of bleeding and not really any pregnancy symptoms like I had with my dd. M/c was natural but I didn't stop bleeding so had to have ride in an ambulance, blood transfusion, d/c etc.. very yucky and sad.

I am now 9 weeks pregnant..anxious as hell but glad that so far things are going well. It took three months to fall pregnant again which isn't that long really.
