Hi everyone,

NC for this. I'm 35 and on Friday was two days late for AF so did a test and immediately showed positive. Had sore boobs, dizzy spells and nausea all weekend and was insanely tired.
This morning I went to the loo and on wiping had some red spotting. Since then I have some light pink streaks but only on wiping. All my other symptoms have disappeared though.

So as to give the full picture, I have had spotting daily for several months and this was diagnosed as cervical erosion recently. Had no spotting for the past week which was unusual for me as bleeding daily seem to be my new normal but today seeing this again has worried me. Had some light cramping too but seems to have stopped.

Anyone had similar and had a good outcome? I called the midwife who said it is very early for symptoms so the fact they have disappeared isn't a concern at this stage and advice is to just hold tight and see what happens. I'm frantic with worry. Any reassurance is welcome.

I’ve had red and brown spotting in all my pregnancies. Fortunately it has always turned out to be ok 😊like you I had spotting before pregnancy, so I guess I just have a sensitive cervix?

The midwife is right, there isn’t anything you can do at the moment. Either it will get worst, which sadly means a miscarriage, or you can go for a scan at 6 weeks to see if there’s a heartbeat. I wouldn’t read into symptoms at this early stage.

I know it’s the worst feeling so sending lots of hugs!

Thanks for your reply! So glad to hear everything turned out ok for you. It's still happening but hasn't got any worse and it's still mostly brown (sorry TMI!).
Will update once we know for anyone else who happens to stumble on this page some point in the future!
