I've literally just found out I'm pregnant! Only 3 weeks and 2 days, my first time. I'm excited and terrified!
(Me and my partner have agreed not to tell anyone for a week or two to make sure it's actually happening, and I feel like I'm bursting so I'm telling a load of internet strangers instead!)

Does anyone have any app recommendations for tracking, telling you about the changes week by week? I'm sciency so anything that gives you a bit more detail about embryonic development would be really good.

Congratulations! I've tried a few but I like Ovia best 😊

CC4712 · 23/07/2023 19:06

Congrats! I've used ovia for period tracking for years, and when I did finally get pregnant, used their pregnancy app each time. It had a week on week update on babies size, what was growing (nails/hair etc) and other info I found interesting. I 'think' they might have a baby app too, but unfortunately never made it that far.

Congratulations! I used BabyCentre with my first and now again with my second! It’s really helpful and it has a ‘birth group’ with women who are all expecting to be due in the same month as you all sharing their experiences and asking questions etc . 😀 also has a feature to take a weekly ‘bumpie’ - bump pic to track

I used pregnancy+. It tells you a bit about the developments each week and you can see the actual size of the baby too

Congrats! I’m 5 weeks today also with my first. I use Pregnancy+ and really like it 🥰

I'd recommend the 'Pregnancy' app, as it is well laid out, has info on changes in you / baby, and a seller point for me was a kegel exercise counter, kick counter, bump gallery and features like this.

Do I need a pregnancy app??

I use NHS website, and Badger Notes app which is where my midwife test results are.

CR7 · 24/07/2023 20:04

@Whataretheodds totally up to you x

ajayelbee · 25/07/2023 06:30

I use Sprout. Shows you what your embryo looks like as it develops into baby, and give you a size comparison and information about what parts are developing/ growing each week. I find it extremely interesting!

I’ll pop a photo on so you can see an example!
