31 week colostrum? Any correlation?

FTM 31 weeks pregnant

Is this normal? It's a milky white liquid, not necessarily leaking, but if I "express" some liquid does come out, I never try hard enough to see if I could get more.

Has anyone felt any correlation with labour (ie giving birth by 36/37 weeks)

Or any link to having a decent milk supply?

Just curious about personal experiences. Articles online tend to be neutral due to not wanting to give a sweeping false info based on limited research.

Totally normal and from my experience, no correlation with ability to breastfeed/milk supply when baby arrives. Be careful not to express any colostrum before 37 weeks though as it can stimulate your uterus and cause labour.

Totally normal :) I started to see orangey patches if I wore a white bra from about 30 weeks.

I expressed colostrum from 38.5 weeks too, have ended up with an oversupply of milk but for other reasons! No link as far as I am aware

@flowerchop I started leaking at 16 weeks, but it never increased throughout pregancy and some days I’d get nothing at all. I started expressing colostrum at 37 weeks and actually found it quite difficult! I’m 38+4 so definitely no early labour for me x
