Two of the same sex, did you find out with your 3rd?

Due our third baby in February and picturing the future and who they will be. We have two boys and found out both times...

Did you keep it a surprise or find out with your 3rd?

We found out with DC1 and DC2 didn't with DC3 and they are are the same sex.

I didn't with DC 2-4

I had a preference for 2 & 3 but I kind of knew I would be very late, be induced etc and I knew I wouldn't mind so much when the baby was born. I wanted the surprise I guess.

Snap, OP! Same here, two boys and due Feb. I think I'll find out, I'm not sure I have the patience to wait. I've come to terms with if we have another boy - this will be our last baby whether it's a boy or not! Our boys are lovely but a girl would be nice.

I didn’t find out with DD1 & 2 , found out this time and it’s another DD.

Had two boys and didn’t want to know in advance for third one (was fine about either way but fancied trying having a surprise).

I didn't find out for DC1 because the hospital wouldn't say, so had a surprise.

I did find out with DC2 and DC3 even though I didn't have a preference. All are boys, BTW.

I didn't find out with any of mine.

1st - DS
2nd & 3rd (twins) DD & DS.

I love the element of surprise.

Didn’t find out with first but sonographer let slip

Did find out with second as wanted to prepare the first (who was only 2 so didn’t care)

Found out with 3rd as older 2 (both boys) were older (6 and 4) and VERY into it. And really wanted a sister. And it was a girl! So fun.

Didn’t tell the kids I was pregnant until after 20 week scan, because it’s such a long wait for them and so abstract, and after 20 weeks scan we just said, ‘in April you’re going to have a little sister!’ Done and dusted!

Also it’s a surprise whenever you find out and I prefer to find out in a calm environment personally. DS1’s birth was so mental I didn’t even care what he was, just that he was alive!

Also, is it ever really that much of a surprise?? It’s one or the other 😄

We’re not finding out. Their life doesn’t need to be determined by their sex
