Hi ladies

26 weeks now and struggling a bit with how many times I’m waking up in the night to go toilet, it’s causing me to be soooooo tired!!

last night I was so tired that I didn’t wake up when I needed a wee twice, and when I finally did wake up I’d been holding it for so long it was actually hurting me!!

now I’m worrying about UTI as I know if you hold ur wee too long it can cause an infection…

not sure whether to be worried or not… granted I’ve been worrying lots in prenancy as it’s my first and my rainbow baby and I think I said in a previous post how much of a big deal the midwife made about uti’s in pregnancy (hence all the overthinking)

You could always pop to your gp and do a test? If it will give you peace of mind I would go xx

I'm needing a wee four times during the night 😑

I’ve never woke in the night for a wee for this whole pregnancy (I’m 39 weeks). No idea why but (touch wood) not had a uti so I’m sure you’ll be fine! If in doubt or any symptoms, request a urine dip but positive you’ll be okay x

Give your community midwife a call, they should test for a urine infection and may want to test for gestational diabetes.

Although it'll probably end up being the baby sitting on your bladder! Oh the joys of pregnancy 😂
