8 week appointment

With my first I’m sure it was more around the 12 week mark for first appointment with midwife. It’s bang on 8 weeks this time. Do they do a scan and check for heart beat during this one? I registered pregnancy through email. Also different this time is that the appointment is at an antenatal clinic at a children’s centre instead of hospitsl so again made me wonder would it be a scan. TIA!

That will be your booking appointment. They will do your blood pressure, urine sample, take some blood then go through lots of questions but no scan. The scan is around 12-13 weeks.

Yes, as the previous poster said this is your booking appointment 😊 mine is the same day as my 12 week hospital scan, but it's normally between 8-12 weeks.
