Gestational diabetes results - how bad are these numbers

I had my GTT yesterday and was told I would hear back in 2-3 days with the results. However I have had a look on my NHS app and results are already there. It says:

Fasting glucose: 6.4mmol

Glucose after 120 hours: 12.7mmol (after the drink).

It says underneath 'DM confirmed' which I assume stands for diabetes mellitus. Does this mean regular diabetes or just gestational??

How bad are these numbers? I've had such a complicated pregnancy I can't believe I have another problem to deal with 😭

It does look like you've got GD based on those numbers.

There's another thread running with a poster in a similar situation, just diagnosed and waiting on a first appt so might be worth checking in on her thread:

12.7mmol is high

Highly recommend this website https://www.gestationaldiabetes.co.uk/

I had GD with my first and found their resources and recipes invaluable, and actually better than the NHS advice at the time. They also have a Facebook support group.

Above 7.8 after the drink is considered positive for gestational diabetes.
