So I’ve been feeling a bit off the last week or so - intermittent sickness, bit of a funny tummy.

I’m on the pill and have literally just finished my withdrawal bleed but decided to take a test to be 100% sure and rule it out for definite.

This is the FRER I just took - it’s rather ambiguous for my liking and now I’m scared (and I definitely feel sick now)!

Is there any chance that’s just a shadow? How do I work out more definitively whether I’m pregnant or not? I take my pill religiously at the same time every day and never skip.

Thanks in advance x

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

It sounds unlikely that you are pregnant but obviously not impossible. FR tests are a bugger for weird indents so I’d try another brand

macaroonsandgin · 22/07/2023 09:36

Thanks @Jazzybean that’s helpful.

Does anyone have recommendations of more reliable brands?

That test does look positive. Maybe try different ones. You can fall pregnant on the pill

Techno56 · 22/07/2023 09:39

I had a test like that and was on the pill + my husband has had a vasectomy. It was a false faint positive - I hadn't had a period for ten weeks (don't know why) and had a blood HCG to make sure.

K37529 · 22/07/2023 10:37

It does look positive, I would take a clear blue digital the one that tells you in words if your pregnant or not as it takes out the guess work. Although I would leave it a couple of days as the line is so faint, I don't think they're as sensitive as these tests.

PKA98 · 22/07/2023 11:01

I also took the pill religiously for 5 years. 15 weeks pregnant here. Clear blue tests generally the most reliable though so maybe try one of those!

noglow · 22/07/2023 11:02

Get one of the ones with the words on it

Chronicworrier23 · 22/07/2023 16:01

Looks positive for me. Take a clear blue and keep us updated

PickledScrump · 22/07/2023 18:36

Looks a bit grey so wouldn’t trust it. Clearblue are absolutely terrible for false positives too so avoid them like the plague. Get a boots own brand early results one and test using first morning urine and you’ll get a clear result

macaroonsandgin · 22/07/2023 21:11

Thank you everyone, took a clear blue with the words which very clearly said ‘not pregnant’ earlier so I can sleep easy! Except for working out what this nausea is… x

@macaroonsandgin might be worth checking again in a few days. Digitals aren’t as sensitive as frer so if it was a very faint positive it wouldn’t show on a digital yet, plus you’d need to use first morning urine

fuckmyuteruslining · 22/07/2023 22:36

I couldn't see a line. I think you're ok.

Redpanda21 · 22/07/2023 22:46

I see a line but would wait another couple of days and do another digital.

silvertree2 · 23/07/2023 10:04

I would test again as I can definitely see a line! X
