So I have just found out that I am 4 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child! My first LO is currently 11 months.....

As much as I am over the moon I am pregnant again ( it took a while to convince my first) I don't think I'm ready to be a new mumma again!

Plus my LO will only be 1 year 7 months when the new baby arrives 😭

I know it is a blessing to fall again I truely do but I am hating the way I amFeeling so mixed about it.

I'll be taking away time from my LO with the new baby needing me etc.. I just don't know how to feel 😭

Please do not judge me too hard on my feelings

OK so I am not going to sugar coat it it's likely to be tough going for a bit as 2 under 2 is full on! However they will be close in age which means a lot of the stuff of being young and sleepless nights it out of the way and things will probably be easier when a bit older with entertaining as there won't be a huge gap.

There are somethings you can do which will make it easier finding a sling/carrier which is comfortable for you (learn to bf in it if planning on bf).
If you were returning to work then I suggest you don't delay so that you get 2nd maternity leave etc.
It's perfectly valid and OK to feel apprehensive as well it doesn't make you a bad person!

All I would say is I fell pregnant when my little girl was 18 months and I felt the same. I felt guilt on my little girl and thought oh my two under 3 this will be tough.. then I had a miscarriage and I was so devastated and blamed myself for my thoughts.

I would take it as a blessing if you want another one and it’s just a bit sooner than you expected, don’t worry, it will be hard at first but so lovely when they are older and close in age xx

Hi OP, I’m in a similar situation (almost 4w pregnant & first born will be 1 next week).
I’m also pretty nervous about the whole thing, but I try to think about how close my son will probably be to his sibling ❤️.
He has no cousins and probably won’t for a while - and we have no close friends with babies so it was important for us to have a smaller age gap (we didn’t think we’d fall pregnant quite so quickly, or we probably would have waited a bit longer…).
On the other hand, if you really don’t feel ready there are still options at this stage, you have to do what’s best for you and your mental health :)
