Pregnancy and rib pain

Did anyone else struggle with an office job during pregnancy? I am currently 30 weeks pregnant and work an office job full time and the amount of discomfort I am in when sitting at my desk brings me to tears. It's mainly rib pain I experience (but also lower back) + braxtons hicks :(
I can just about manage the morning and then the afternoon hits and I am struggling so so bad. (also with tiredness, can barely keep my eyes open!)

I am only 5ft with a short torso so I'm not sure if that is making things harder for me. I don't know how I am going to last 10 more weeks of this :(

Yes I found this really difficult too, along with sickness and tiredness. It's one of the reasons I started mat leave around this time because I was just not working to a fair capacity and I might aswell have not been there with the work I was getting done so I left early. I'm the opposite in that I'm quite tall so I think it can happen either way

I’m quite tall but had rib pain from very early on (14 ish weeks). Sitting did aggravate it. It was essentially because my ribs were “stuck” and the expanding baby was pushing on them. I had to take on reduced hours (9-3), WFH and a little bit of sick leave when it was really bad, also around the 30 week mark.

If you can find a good pregnancy massage or physio it can help a lot. If you’re near South Oxfordshire I can recommend someone.

I had this really badly at the same stage. Now 37 weeks and baby has dropped and I don't feel it anymore thank goodness.

I am 28 weeks and the same - I also have a short torso and so if I sit down for too long I get so uncomfortable. I’m fine when not working but get really uncomfortable on work days. I have fashioned a standing desk at home for a bit of a break so might be worth looking into this?

Sounds tough. Can your chair be changed ? You may find a kneeling one more comfortable. Speak toHR?
