Pregnancy after a chemical

Hello,

TTC for the first time, started in Feb and got pregnant on month #3 of trying. This resulted in a chemical. I read that a lot of people get pregnant the next cycle or two after a chemical because you are more fertile. But two months of trying after a chemical and both months negative. I am 34 and had hoped I was fertile after catching so quickly initially but now sad it's not happened again like it seems to for so many other people with chemicals.

Just wondering if there are other people who caught a few months after a chemical rather than straight away and things worked out?

When I was initially TTC I came off the pill in the February, got pregnant around end of July but miscarried in the August. I think it was a chemical. Anyway, I was told not to TTC for a few months and then conceived the following February. You might just need to give it a bit more time. Good luck Flowers

I had a chemical in March and conceived in June. 7 weeks now and the symptoms are battering me - grateful for every dry heave to be honest as that means they are hanging on in there.

Hope you get your positive test very soon.

I had a miscarriage in November, conceived cycle 3 in February. Miscarried in April and conceived again in June after 2 periods. Its different for everyone unfortunately!

I also should have mentioned that each cycle has the same 20% chance of getting pregnant... so it's like rolling a dice. You could roll a three for 5 months in a row before you roll the 6! Similarly, you could roll a 6 immediately. It's all a game of chance unfortunately but the fact that you have had a positive test before (albeit a chemical unfortunately), means you are fertile and you can conceive. Waiting is annoying and boring, but you will roll a 6 again soon! X

So sorry for your loss. I had an early miscarriage at just gone 6wks (I was also 34 at the time, and fretted as I was rapidly approaching my 35th birthday) in the end I fell pregnant 4 months later (a month after turning 35), and now have a beautiful 6 month old DD.
