Fetal head circumference is measuring large!

Hi all,

I had a growth scan last week which shows DC1’s head circumference as 320.8mm at 31 weeks- which is a few weeks ahead and over the 99th percentile!!

super anxious and scared of what this may be due to?! Google searches have scared the life out of me

My daughter’s was this large and she is absolutely fine. The sonographer probably checked the brain activity and if they didn’t mention anything it means it was all fine.

I had the same thing at a growth scan. My only fear was giving birth to it but I ended up having a tiny 5lb 13 baby with a totally in proportion head. Don't worry!

Thank you both. Turns out baby is just on the larger side and that’s most likely why I have excess amniotic fluid too. I wish they didn’t panic me as much as they did. I know now to take growth scans with a pinch of salt

My growth scan predicted baby 3lbs larger than they were when born.. If ignore all measurements tbh and just focus on them checking placenta fuction if you have another one. I nearly switched to a c section based on the growth scan
