3 weeks after miscarriage test still dark

I miscarried naturally 3 weeks ago, & pregnancy tests are still showing up quite dark, I wondered if that's going to be the normal for a bit longer? It's really mentally frustrating 🤦‍♀️

My miscarriage at 14 weeks took about a week for the tests to become negative. Please make sure your epu know so that they can check for retained products of conception that could cause infection for you. It may just be taking a while to leave your system but I was expected to have a negative by this point x

I had a scan at the epu after everything had passed, it showed nothing in the uterus.. Could remaining products be missed?
I will give them a call however, I didn't expect the tests to still be as dark x

I was getting test results like this 6 weeks after a miscarriage at 15 weeks. It turned out I had retained tissue that had to be removed by D&C. EPU gave me multiple scans over the 6 weeks and kept saying everything was fine when it clearly was not.

If I were in your position, I would push to speak to a Gynaecologist rather than the EPU midwives. That's the only way I finally got things resolved.

This test isn't even with fmu, so I think a test with fmu would be even darker.. We have been trying again, about a week after I miscarried, but surely the test wouldn't be that dark with a new pregnancy
I'm so confused, but I feel its obvious I need to phone them 🤦‍♀️ x

I was testing positive for months after my miscarriage. It turned out there was still “product” left and I had it removed. Within days the test was negative and my body started to get back to normal and HCG levels started to drop. May be worth going to the epu and asking for a scan if it’s still positive in a few more days. It was a really upsetting time for me too because you just want to forget about it and move on.

I had a negative Pregnancy test at 3 weeks.

Then a faint positive.

I then went on to having bloods done and they said I wasn't pregnant... 5 days later did an early test and it said I was 1-2 weeks pregnant.

I'm going to request more bloods tomorrow to find out.

@Michaela2023 Oh 🤦‍♀️ how frustrating! Not having the answers, then having to worry about different things..
I've also just got a solid smiley on a clearblue ovulation test, when 2 nights ago it was negative.. So like you I'll be on the phone to them tomorrow morning, my concern is now infection so on 🤦‍♀️ good luck to you! 🤞🤞

P.s - I had a mmc on the same day as you x

My test tonight. 5 days ago they said my blood tests were negative. So I'm thinking maybe I was like a day off been able to pick hcg up? X

@Michaela2023 Oh I'm sorry you went through that too! It's absolute torture isn't it.. hope you are doing OK 💛 apart from now this confusion also!

Definitely keep me updated & I'll do the same! I'm so hoping it's going to be the news we want but trying to keep those thoughts out my head for now! Maybe a blood test would show different now for you! Who knows how the body works 🙈🤷‍♀️ 🤞

So I've done a test fmu, and it's now super negative 🙈
Obviously overnight my hcg has really dropped, which I'm fine with in the grand scheme of things, because for one I doubt there's anything left in there, and two I have a blank canvas to start again.. So although I'm maybe a wee bit disappointed, I'm ok!
