Anyone else felt sick their whole pregnancy?

I'm 26 weeks pregnant with no3 and I have more or less felt nauseous this whole pregnancy. My morning sickness improved a lot after 16 weeks but I'm still feeling sick most days, mainly after lunch. Trying to drink tonnes of water to keep myself hydrated but it really does get me down. Anyone else in the same boat? So happy and blessed to be pregnant again but my gosh this one has hit me hard.

Me OMG it was hell, try very flat full fat Coke.

OneFamily · 17/07/2023 14:21

Me, bar 2 weeks. It was awful, ice in any form and rich tea biscuits throughout the day were the only things to help. Thankfully stopped when she arrived!

Lizbiz89 · 17/07/2023 14:46

Glad it's not just me! I didn't feel anywhere near as bad with my first 2 pregnancies. Any morning sickness pretty much cleared up at 12 weeks. I've got no appetite and have to force myself to eat for the baby. This will be my last pregnancy so I really want to enjoy it but I honestly can't wait to not feel sick anymore! The only thing I want to do is drink water and lie down 😫

Hideous until the day I gave birth. Could only eat fry high fibre Jacob's crackers. You have my every sympathy 💐

Lizbiz89 · 18/07/2023 07:54

Thank you @HollyBollyBooBoo . Don't want to wish this pregnancy away but I'm definitely looking forward to October!

My nausea got worse each pregnancy, sorry… so yeah number 4 was horrendous sickness til about 20 weeks but then just a general nausea but rarely sickness for the rest of the pregnancy.

AlloftheTime · 18/07/2023 08:00

sorry to hear this - the only time I didn’t feel sick with number two was a fortnight when I had flu. I relished the blocked nose and coughing 😊
it came back as soon as the infection improved. Ginger biscuits helped me but sympathy in buckets for you.

💐

Lizbiz89 · 18/07/2023 08:01

@TappingTed yeah I haven't actually been sick but the nausea was way worse before 16 weeks. This is first pregnancy though where my nausea keeps coming back. Tbh though everything has been much harder this time around. Sleep, aching, nausea and generally feeling like 💩. Needless to say this will be the last baby 🤣

@Lizbiz89 just came across this whilst sat here at 30 weeks pregnant and still nauseous 24/7! How you getting on how? It’s utterly miserable and I don’t know how I’ve made it this far with little appetite and constantly feeling sick. Absolutely awful. Hope it’s settled for you now!

Lizbiz89 · 06/09/2023 18:19

@Yarnle it's awful isn't it! Still getting bouts of it unfortunately but today hasn't been so bad for some reason. Although now I'm mostly dealing with extremely uncomfortable sleep (or lack of!). I find I get it worse if I've ate something greasy the night before so I'm avoiding crap food like the plague. 34 weeks tomorrow and praying the next 6 weeks go fast. But also trying to enjoy the last bits of my pregnancy. So conflicted 🤣

@Lizbiz89 glad it’s eased up for you! Comforting to know I’m not the only one having the most miserable pregnancy known to man. I do get some better days too but it’s always there to haunt me in some form 🙄hope it goes quick for you, time is going backwards for me as I haven’t been able to work at all so just sat thinking about how sick I feel all the time 😫😫

Lizbiz89 · 06/09/2023 18:55

@Yarnle it's one of things where you want to appreciate what your body is doing but at the same time want it to be over 🤣. This is my 3rd and final baby so I really want to savour it but it's definitely been my hardest one of all. Is this your 1st? It's not easy especially with the weather we've had this week. Where is autumn!? 🤣

Bless you, one of my friends was due a little after me, she turned up on my due date so I could look after her eldest for a few hours as she needed to be admitted. She still looked green!!

She would have had a third could they have guaranteed a daughter but as you can't she decided 2 and done. I honestly don't know how she did it.

Kellioo · 06/09/2023 19:26

You poor thing. I had two weeks of feeling ok about 31-33 weeks, then it came back but it all disappeared the minute I gave birth.

Coffeepott · 06/09/2023 20:20

Yes, been there, done that. I see you. You are not alone. I was still throwing up (epically) in labour. The pregnancy glow did not happen for me

Yarnle · 06/09/2023 20:20

@Lizbiz89 so true!! Not had one bit of excitement in 30 weeks! I’m jealous it’s your 3rd, it’s my first and I’ve been so put off ever having anymore 😫the heat definitely does not help, bring on next week when it’s a bit cooler! Hyperemesis robs you of every ounce of your pregnancy journey, are you/have you been medicated?

LylaLee · 06/09/2023 20:21

Look up hyperemesis and see if that fits.

Lizbiz89 · 06/09/2023 22:26

@Yarnle yeah I've been so lucky with my other pregnancies. Only had mild sickness until 10 weeks and then sailed through. This one has been a whole other ball game. I haven't had any meds as one thing I've been lucky with is I've not been sick but I have been nauseous pretty much on and off since day 1! The only thing that makes me feel slightly better is ice cold water. Really recommend that when you're feeling rough. Have you been on anti sickness meds?

@Lizbiz89 its crazy how different they can all be! I haven’t vomited since week 12/13 but been nauseous since, so since then have been taking ondansetron, unsure if it’s helping in any way but I darent come off it incase I feel any worse! I’m definitely more functional now than the earlier days but still an absolute shell of myself compared to pre pregnancy, can’t wait till this placenta is out of me and I can have my life back 🤣 yes I do love ice cold water, never stays cold enough for long in this weather though I feel! It’s been the most challenging 7 months of my life 😫

ToughFuss · 07/09/2023 08:34

Aw poor you!! It’s so hard. I was vomiting all day every day for probably 8 months of my pregnancy, I was sick the night before I took a test and it just didn’t stop 😅
