Can you ask for early induction for limited movements

I’m 35+3 weeks and have an anterior placenta. I have days where I barely feel him move and days where I do feel quite a lot.

I am really struggling with feeling limited movements and because of this have been in with reduced movements and have had regular monitoring for the past few weeks.

Does anyone know if you can ask to be induced early (say 38/39 weeks?). I’m worried about missing something because I have days of feeling nothing but this seems to be normal for him but causes me huge anxiety that I’ll miss something.

I don’t know if I can cope much longer with the constant worry. I have a midwife’s appointment next week and was thinking of asking about early induction but I’m not sure if this is something they would consider?

You could always ask especially for peace of mind

Induction before 39 weeks is only done for really significant medical reasons and if all the other aspects of the monitoring are reassuring then its likely you will not be offered induction at least for the next 4 weeks unless something changes.
Perhaps talk to your midwife before your appointment about how to deal with your feelings and ensure you can stay mentally well during the next 4-5 weeks

I had this with my first too.Anterior placenta & reduced movement episodes through the whole pregnancy. It’s dreadful & takes such a toll on your mind and body constantly.I was induced at 37+6 and thankfully my son was fine.It was a very last minute thing & the consultant on the day I went in for another reduce movement episode told me to come back that same night.

I was induced 8:30pm and son arrived 2pm the following afternoon.I had a great experiance & so thankful everything was ok in the end.

Definately have a chat with your midwife / consultant & see what they suggest.

Good luck
