Hi all,

Looking for abit of support/advice if I can.Sad

I am currently 29 weeks pregnant, myself and partner keep arguing about living conditions. My partner has two dogs that attack each other over food/attention anything really.. and 85% of mornings we wake up to pop/wee/sick all over the kitchen floor. I am so sick and tired of it all, they are so disobedient and untrained I am worried about bringing a new born baby home to this.

But myself and partner keep arguing and he said they aren't going anywhere ect, I fully agree that pets are for life but the way they behave I am walking on egg shells pregnant!!! Let alone baby being here!!! He suggested stair gates everywhere, but that doesn't stop anything.. it's just puts them in one room.

Am I being dramatic? We have argued to the point I may leave today this is how bad it's gotten.

I'm heartbroken but also so angry that he doesn't agree. SadSadSad

Have you somewhere to go ?
If so I would be leaving asap.

Can you get a dog behaviourist to come and assess them? They might be able to solve the issues you have with some hard work and training. If not then you seriously need to consider your options. It's not suitable to have aggressive dogs at home with a baby, nor is the situation hygienic - imagine as soon as a baby starts to move around! Sorry you're in a difficult situation but you need to resolve this ASAP.

I have spoken to a dog behavioural specialist, I wasn't around for the first 4/5 years of their lives as we wasn't a couple then. Unfortunately this is how they are.

I have other options, as hard as it is.. I wouldn't put my child in such a situation of course so leaving will be my option.

They are horrible horrible dogs, I don't know why my partner is so anti re homing / putting to sleep. They are old and it's not any life for them, let alone a new born!!!

It makes me so sad/angry but this conversation has been ongoing for weeks.. I haven't personally let it get this late in my pregnancy so I hope nobody thinks that.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts I appreciate it massively.
