Perinatal mental health team and follow up

I had an initial appointment with the perinatal mental health team for an assessment.

As a result of that assessment I've been referred to their mental helath psychiatrist.

Does that mean I will be looked after by the perinatal mental helath team?

I'm already under the community mental health team.

I'm anxious I wont get support.

It sounds like you will yes, the assessment today was possibly dome by a mental health nurse working for team to see what support you would require- the psychiatrist will be the doctor working for the team. Really hope you get an appointment soon and the support that you need during this time x
