I had a miscarriage on the 21st of June, bleeding stopped after 3/4 days. Did the pregnancy test they gave me to do after 3 weeks - negative.

Did a early test the day after and got a faint positive. What are your thoughts?

Went for bloods today but just driving myself mad thinking about it.

I feel like I've been having symptoms but wondering if I'm just imagining it.

If you miscarried on the 21st june then 3 weeks after was yesterday, is that right? So you got a negative test yesterday and a positive one today?

Yes but the one yesterday was a normal test that the hospital gave Me and the one today was a 6 day early test x

Hi @Michaela2023 have you got anymore tests left? If you have you could take one tomorrow morning first thing. Not sure how long your blood results will take.

That suggests it’s still picking up the old pregnancy hormones, yesterdays test wasn’t as sensitive as todays, that’s why you got a positive today. With one day difference and a more sensitive test I wouldn’t be counting it as a new pregnancy sorry.

Yes I'm saving it for now. I will get the blood results in the morning but im thinking they may have to repeat them anyway ? :) xxx

firstly, I’m sorry for your miscarriage.

Only way to tell is with the bloods you’re doing to see if the HCG rises between the 2 or to take a few of the same pregnancy tests 2 days apart to see if they get darker. Most accurate way is the bloods though. If the HCG doesn’t rise then it’s from the previous miscarriage if it does then it’s a new pregnancy.

Hello Everyone I went for a blood test 5 days ago which came back negative. However 5 days later I bought a cheapy test as it came up as a faint positive again. So I'm thinking I should go and get an early pregnancy test now, thoughts ? Xxx

Or do I wait a few days and repeat

I don't know because I don't track my ovulation xx

And with me having a mmc 4 weeks ago I wouldn't know. Blood test 5 days ago didn't pick up any hcg but now a normal test is showing.... I'll show you.

So confusing !! Could it have been to early to pick up on a blood test say like a day out and 5 days later ive got enough to show on a test X

Sorry, just read if it is a new pregnancy. I think it could be, try testing again in a few days xx

I'm going to ring the doctors in the morning and ask for another blood test... I need to make sure it's right !! I did a test at 3 weeks after and came back negative the first time ! Xx
