Faint positive or am I seeing what I want to see??

Hi

I would be grateful for another pair of eyes! Can anyone else see a very faint line or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

My cycles have been all over the place since my miscarriage at the beginning of April (I’ve had two periods since the miscarriage) so I don’t actually know when I’m due on my period but I’ve had sensitive nipples and tender breast for the past couple of days so thought I’d take a test.

Thank you!

I can on the last photo but when I zoom I lose it

RosaSkye · 13/07/2023 20:17

Fingers crossed x

This is a negative sorry. I’d also avoid clearblue as they’re not reliable, usually that’s because they show lines when they are actually negative. Yours is completely negative though unfortunately

Khanga27 · 13/07/2023 20:37

I'm really sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

I can't see a line I'm afraid, but I don't really have much faith in clear blue anyway because of them being notorious for evaporation lines vs a red dye test like FRER or the boots tests. Fingers crossed. Did you take in the morning?

Sales88 · 13/07/2023 20:37

Disagree with @PickledScrump and wish you all the best. X

Squashyy · 13/07/2023 20:57

I feel like I can see lines until I zoom in. Fingers crossed for you OP.

I feel like I see it. I'm not a fan of the blue tests though, have you tried the early pink ones (first response) x

Nicnacc · 14/07/2023 07:00

Thanks for your replies!

@Khanga27 thank you and no, I took it early evening. I might wait a few days if my period still hasn’t arrived and retest first thing in the morning.

@PickledScrump I’ve never had a problem / false positive with Clearblue before. When I was pregnant my little boy, it was very faint at first and got progressively darker every couple of days so I’m my experience they are reliable.

I can’t seem to find the first response tests in stock anywhere? Might have to order some off of Amazon!

Thanks again everyone x

@Nicnacc they used to be but lately there is so so many posts about them showing lines when negative. I just wouldn’t trust them. Frer have been discontinued, boots own early results are really good though.

Nicnacc · 14/07/2023 08:00

Oh I see! Thank you, I’ll try and get a boots one 😊 x
