hi I am looking for some advice/reassurance please?

15weeks today and had a scan yesterday in EPU due to some brown bleeding starting yesterday morning. baby was absolutely fine, midwife and consultant said if goes red or lots of pain get back in touch otherwise it’s fine. but didn’t actually give any suggestions of what might have caused it!

does anyone have any suggestions what may have caused this please? we had sex last Friday I don’t know if would take that long for the blood to come out if there had been irritation from this?

im still have some brown spotting but it’s less, wondering if some people just have this through pregnancy? And I should prepare for another 25th weeks of anxiety!!

thank you 🙏 😊

Sorry you're experiencing this OP. I had a bleed with DS at 14/15 weeks and all was fine, he's now 2.5. No cause was found, it stopped eventually and my pregnancy carried on as normal x

Hi thank you for replying! Was it a one off or did it happen a couple of times? I’m telling myself was old blood from intercourse but it’s just so anxiety provoking! So pleased to read all went okay for you though and hoping we follow in your footsteps lol x

It was just a one-off, but it scared me so much. Our bodies do such weird things in pregnancy and not having an explanation is sometimes the worst thing. As long as it's brown it's a good sign though 😊

My fingers are crossed for you that it is just one of those things and your pregnancy has no further issue 🤞 x
