Feeling faint

I'm currently about 9 weeks pregnant and have felt awful the past couple of weeks with nausea but have started to feel faint any time I stand for more than like 5 minutes. Is this normal or should I be getting a GP appointment? I've not seen my midwife yet.

It could be common but you should see the GP to check. It could be low blood pressure or maybe some anaemia. I think both are common because your blood volume increases so much at the beginning. You need more iron to make all the red extra red blood cells, so it's easy to fall short.

I was always told common doesn't mean normal, ie shouldn't be checkout by a doctor, so making an appointment is safest. They might do some tests and advise if you need to tweak your diet or something else.
