In order to get full mat pay, I need to have been in my job for 1 year at the end of the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth. When can I safely start trying? I started working here on 12the December 2022

There’s only 24 weeks left of this year so you could start trying anytime now and you would qualify.

Second half of September

You would need to have your last period before becoming pregnant on approximately Sep 29th or later. That would make you 15 weeks pregnant exactly on December 12th, going by first day of your last period. I'd wait until after this to start trying. Good luck!

Oops, ignore my last post. Worked it out as 15 weeks pregnant, not 15 weeks before due date 😅

Yep ignore mine too!

The first reply was correct, you can try as soon as you like as you just need to be 25 weeks pregnant on Dec 12th this year.

*no more than 25 weeks pregnant that should say! Wow I think I need to just go to bed!

languageat30 · 11/07/2023 16:02

I'm confused now 😅

Not surprised lol! So 15th week before child birth is 25 weeks pregnant. So you need to have been there a year before you are more than 25 weeks pregnant basically. So you should be good to start trying from now.
