17+3 and hungry in the night

Hi, I’m 17+3 with first baby, have had pretty back sickness and nausea up to now and finally it’s stopped, phew. I am now getting hungry in the night, about 4am just wake up starving and have to eat or I can’t sleep. I’m worried this will just become a habit, should I try to ignore the hunger? I have been having cereal before bed at 10/ 10 30 for a while as it helped reduce nausea in the night. Thanks!

The sugar drop from the cereal is possibly waking you, so try and eat something less sugary and more protein.
When I had this I used to take a plain biscuit up (like an arrowroot or a cracker)and eat it when I woke, I soon went back to sleep, and it didn’t last the whole pregnancy

I had a phase of this. Used to eat a bowl of special K red berries.

You're hungry at an unusual time because you need extra nutrition. No reason for it to become a habit. Perhaps protein closer to bedtime, eg a couple of eggs, and take a banana up to bed with you? (A plain biscuit offers almost nothing nutritionally.)
