Second pregnancy c section scar pain

I had an EMCS 4 years ago and everything healed pretty quickly with no issues since, I'm now pregnant with my second and it feels very tender to touch, itchy and generally uncomfortable

Is this a common thing? Anybody know why it happens?

I don't know about specifically CS scars in pregnancy, but scars in general are less elastic than normal skin. What you are feeling could be the scars struggling to stretch as your belly expands. Massage should help. Twice a day, with a rich moisturiser or with oil - something like Bio-Oil, though I suspect any oil would do.
