Anyone have a period then found out they were pregnant?

My partner and I TTC in June. We were so sure I conceived because I had all the symptoms plus more from when I was pregnant with my first baby. I took a test 12dpo on June 25th and 27th of 2023 and both were stalk white negative. I then started what I thought was my period on June 28th which was two days before my expected period which isn't normal for me. It lasted the same 6 days as normal and normal flow. After I finished bleeding I felt so sick. I still had all the symptoms and even vomiting three days after my bleeding stopped. I took a test and this what showed up... I am confused?

Anyone have a period then found out they were pregnant?

Possibly an early miscarriage as that line is very faint any maybe your body still has a little bit of HCG

I've had a few FRERs the past few months with horrendous indents. I'd take another test. Maybe a different brand of pink dye. People here seem to advise boots own pink dye one. I've attached a picture of my FRER with indent. I was having blood tests due to fertility treatment so I know for a fact I was never at any point pregnant so it wasn't a chemical or early loss. But this is what came up despite 100% NOT being pregnant.

Anyone have a period then found out they were pregnant?

Yes, I thought my period had started but I must have been very heavy implantation bleeding.

But if that has happened to you, you would now be 28 days post ovulation. That'_s not squinter territory... you should have a DARK line. So I really don't think that's what has hapenned in your case.

I get that! I hear that a lot but it showed up in less than one minute and the line was showing pink. It looks shadow on picture but it was pink. I heard if it's pink that's pregnancy hormone

I thought that same! Like shouldn't it be dark by now. But I took three and they all have a line. I would understand if it was just one test but I took three which all showed a line.

Exactly my experience. I had what I thought was a period (bang on time for my 28day cycle) but turns out was an implantation bleed. As above, by the time I took a FRER test the test line came up dark immediately and was darker than the control line (a dye stealer). I would like a previous poster suggested try another brand of test.

Take cheep test that shows in thick pink lines, I find them the easiest to read.

This type, I have never had any shadow lines, only one line or 2.

Hi,
i felt off during the week I took pregnancy my period was not late just paranoid. The faintest line came up that on Wednesday, done another Thursday again a faint line but darker same yesterday Friday darker line again. I’m due my period today and I started to bleed and 2 small clots. Took two pregnancy test today and positive clear as day . I’m bleeding heavily and having mild cramps ? Has anyone experienced this and continued with a healthy pregnancy ? Has anyone have any idea if this chemical pregnancy or if I’m having really early on miscarriage. I’m just 4 weeks pregnant.

I am currently 13 DPO and started to have light bleeding around 9 DPO, 6 days before AF, which turned into spotting 10 DPO, and now I'm back to light bleeding with small clots at 13 DPO. Took 2 tests too early so they were both negative. The bleeding is unusual, also unsure if its a chemical or early miscarriage. So in the same boat here!

I was two weeks late, so I took a test which was negative, then got my period. The next month I was late again, this time tested positive. Immediately started getting morning sickness. When I went for my scan they shifted my due date four weeks earlier! As it was, she was late, so born about half way between the two due dates. This was 20 years ago.

same thing happened to me! I tested on Wednesday last week and there was a very faint line. That same Wednesday I was my spotting but when I wiped there was very light pink barely any blood. Later on that day I started bleeding more but not as heavy as my period but there was some clots here and the, knew it wasn’t my period because it was different and it only lasted one day and a half. My period is usually 5-6 days. This was also two days before my period was supposed to start. Did you end up getting an answer for this? My period are always on time and regular so idk if I’m pregnant or had a very early miscarriage?

You may actually be pregnant. I’m in a long distance relationship. I was intimate with my partner in September and got my period towards the end of the month. We were intimate October about 5 days prior to my expected period starting. We didn’t have sex any other times. I never got my period in October, so after being 9 days late I took a test and it was positive. So I bought more test but different brands. All four test were positive and one of those test was digital. This is all so confusing because my September period was the same flow and length as my normal period.

Yes. Had what felt like a normal period when I was about 4 or 5 days late. But I was pg - found out about 3 weeks later. Normal pregnancy and no further bleeding.

@momaofoneboy I would love to know what happened in the end, too. The exact same is happening to me. AF arrived today but I've had ALL the symptoms the past 2 weeks I was adamant I was pregnant. I'm going to test when I get home but they were Bfn on 9dpo and 11 dpo.

@carsty Af arrived yesterday but find it VERY strange with all the symptoms I had. I've never had any of these symptoms before with Af or suspected pregnancy. I did another test last night and it was BGN 😔 so not looking likely for me

I also swore I was pregnant. I had symptoms I never had on my period the last 2 weeks and i thought i saw a faint line on the tests i took. My period was early and short but I had normal bleeding. I still have some symptoms and I feel like I need to take another test to he super sure.

@Missmiss060408 that sounds just like me. I've now had AF and I tested again to be sure but still negative so not holding out hope. Maybe you should test again to be 100 percent sure. It sounds like it can be possible.

Same is happening to me, I have the nausea, tender breasts, aversions to smells, fatigue. AF was a day late but not my normal flow I’m normally heavy for 6/7 days this time I had pale pink spotting one day of what looked like a regular period then 2 further days of spotting before ending which is unheard of for me. Took a test and can see a faint line.

my last four pregnancies I had a full blown cycle two weeks earlier and then found out I was pregnant. Why does this happen?
