Hi all,

managed to fall over today, my foot went down in a hole in a field and I went down on my knees and scrunched up but ended up laying on my front, didn’t seem to try and save myself at all.. I feel like I’ve jarred my back a bit but I’m now worried if I’ve hurt baby.
I’m 16 week's +2, I haven’t got any pain in my lower abdomen or bleeding.
im seeing my midwife on Tuesday (2 days) , should I just mention it to her then or speak to someone sooner..
thank you x

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I fell down the stairs at 15 weeks and hurt
my back a bit. Don’t worry baby is very well protected in there. I mentioned it to my midwife and she just laughed. Said at least baby’s well cushioned. If you get any pains or bleeding then obviously call , but I wouldn’t worry about baby. Hope you’re ok.

Thank you PickledScrump for your reply, it has helped put my mind at ease. I will keep an eye on things and will mention it to my midwife on Tuesday..

Didn't want to read and run

It's highly likely baby is fine. Do go and get checked out if you're concerned but baby is still well protected in there

If you have no pain or bleeding then try not to worry as baby is well cushioned but of course if you are concerned then ring maternity triage.
I was attacked by a patient at 23 weeks pregnant and kicked in the stomach multiple times, I was terrified baby was hurt by went straight for a scan and baby was looked like she was sucking her thumb and was totally fine. Amazing how our bodies protect them. But I totally understand the worry so do phone for advice if it is something you feel you need to discuss before Tuesday. All the best x

Thank you both for your replies @Coffeepott,
@Nursemumma92 that sounds like an awful situation you went through, I'm glad everything was ok. I will see how I feel tomorrow and ring maternity triage if needed, at the moment no bleeding and what just feel like normal ligament stretching..x

Good, hope all continues to be ok. Such a worrying time! Also, apologies for typos in previous message and terrible punctuation! Typed out the message whilst distracted by both children getting up and down out of bed 😬
