CAR HELP NEEDED! EXPECTING TWINS IN OCT

Advice needed! We are expecting twins in October and already have a 2 year old daughter. can anyone offer good recommendations for a car big enough to fit 3 child car seats in and also ample room in the boot for a double buggy? Thank you!

I have an old style citroen c4 grand picasso. Easily fits all three car seats and the boot is massive! Not sure how the new style matches up for space but worth a look?

French cars are good for this - in similar circumstances we went with a Berlingo. Touran and Sharan too.

Otherwise Volvo xc90, Audi Q7 if you want to spend more.

Q7 doesn’t have 3 Isofix points, neither does the XC90

A friend who has triplets has a Citroen c4 grand Picasso. Otherwise I think an Audi Q7 has the option for three car seats.

We love our smax. 3 full seats in the middle and a huge boot. Our double pushchair fits in the boot even with the back seats in use. We had a Citroën grand c4 spacetourer as a courtesy car once which was lovely as well.

We had a similar dilemma — 18 month old plus twins. We settled on a used Ford S-Max. It can fit three car seats in the middle row (has three Isofix there) and since it’s a 7-seater, the boot is huge when those seats are down.

Citroen c5 aircross for our three kids! Nice SUV that can fit three car seats in the backs. We also looked at the Peugeot 5008.

BTW belted car seats are just as safe so long as they’re fitted properly and that’s the key, isofix seats are easier to fit and that’s where it makes a difference.

When we had 3 in car seats we had the Citroen Grand C4 Picasso. Now we have 4 in Car Seats we have gone with the Hyundai i800 which is huge with loads of space and a big boot

Belted car seats are just as safe as isofix seats as long as they are fitted as per instructions

We got a Vauxhall zafira. 3 seats across easily, but they aren't isofix.Has been very very useful since twins were born.

We got 2nd hand - there are usually quite a few the are 2/3 years old on the market.

Another vote for SMax! Not as expensive as Audi or XC90s

Peugeot 5008 gets my vote. They’re great cars

Depends on your budget - I have twins and an older child similar age gap - I have a bog standard Ford but had to not do extended rear facing to be able to get 3 seats in the back

Audi Q7 - has one of, if not the, largest boot OR can turn into a 7 seater x

I had twins when our eldest was 3 years and we went with a s-max as our main car. And I also have a skoda karoq which I can just about fit 3 car seats in the back. And just about fit a bugaboo donkey in the boot

I had twins when my eldest was under 2 and we went with a Ford s max. Boot is huge or you can have the 2 additional seats up in the back but I don't personally think there's enough room for anyone bigger than a child to sit in the seats in the back row. My 3 go across the middle row and I had all 3 rear facing for a while.

Skoda Octavia or preferably a Suberb, even better get the estate version. I've a Suberb L&K Estate (combi) and there's lots of rear seat space and a huge boot.
