Hi guys,
I know it’s possible this could go either way, and I know people have had both positive and negative experiences with this but I just really need some advice or shared experiences to help me.

I went for an early scan yesterday. Going by my LMP (19/05/23) I should be 7 weeks +1. I know I ovulated around 04/06/23. I have been tracking ovulation etc as we have been trying for a year. I then had a positive pregnancy first response early detection on 12/06/23. At this point nothing was showing up on regular tests, only early detection.

So in my scan I am only measuring between 5-6 weeks and no heartbeat. Fetal pole and sacks there. 3.3mm. They told me that I may have just ovulated late, but going by my dates that’s just not possible is it?
If I had ovulated later as they say, they I don’t believe I would have had a positive test by the 12th on June 😢.

I’ve been trying to search for similar posts but they are rarely updated.

thank you in advance.

Didn't want to read and run this must be really difficult. Is there a feral pole and yolk sack? That would mean it's not been a blighted ovum which I have previously experienced.

when are you next booked in for another scan to check up?
it's so tough but I think it's a wait and see thing even though I understand it's not easy at all!
hoping for the best 🙏

Thank you. Yes there’s a fetal pole and yolk sac.
I ended up calling the early pregnancy unit and explaining what happened and they have said to come in on Tuesday morning for a scan so 🤞🏻🥺. Think Im already in survival mode and just prepared for the worst.

the private scan place just weren’t really interested in asking questions and were quick to rush me out to get the next couple in. really wish I hadn’t went.

with my first I had a regular 28 week cycle. I found out I was pregnant on the day period should have been due. When I went for the 12 week scan they said I was measuring 2 weeks behind at only 10weeks. Which would have meant I would have conceived around the time I got the positive test. Obviously that’s not possible. The pregnancy never caught up those 2 weeks but she’s now a completely healthy 12 year old. I have no idea what happened for her to be 2 weeks behind but it was totally fine.

Thank you, that makes me feel a bit better ❤️. I think if there had been a heartbeat I wouldn’t be so worried 😟, but I also know it’s very common not to hear it so early. Guess I will know more on Tuesday

Just updating for anyone that goes through something similar and comes across this post. Ended up being a missed miscarriage.
