Hello!

Im looking for some advice on things to add to my to do list for last few weeks (second pregnancy) to make life easier:

so far I have:
batch cook meals
buy COOK meals for freezer
deep clean and declutter as much as poss

all baby stuff is washed and ready and hospital bag done. We just need to our baby car seat in car and sides back on changing table/chest of drawers. That’s it really. Oh and I need to have a play with a tens machine I’ve been lent. Can anyone think of other helpful stuff? I’ve stocked up on toilet roll lol.

also for me:
pedicure
nap where I can (weekends when DH has toddler)
anything else I can do for me now??

thanks in advance!

Buy more maternity pads than you think you could possibly need. Then some more. Different types, as I found one brand rubbed my sitches and another didn't at all.

If you haven't child-proofed everything and you're looking for stuff to do, you could do that now. The time just slips past and before you know it there's a small person desperately trying to get at the bleach 🙃 It's easier to do when nobody is screaming at you/ pulling your hair/ headbutting you.

Enjoy the last few weeks!

Sorry, I didn't read the bit where you said you had a toddler! I blame my toddler, who was up at 5:30 this morning 😅

Sounds like you’ve pretty much thought of everything! Just do things that make you calm and relaxed and prepare to go to 42 weeks just incase! As I felt more and more anxious 40-42 weeks as was so set on my due date! Good luck x

Hey, same situation here. Just over 36 weeks with my second, have a toddler 2.8 years. I know that I will be having elective section and will have a go at breastfeeding again.

Our freezer is so annoyingly small that I can't really batch cook much. I am still bitter about it.
I am focusing on teaching toddler to climb things by himself, like climbing into the bath with just a bit of help, climb into car seat, sitting down cuddles, etc as I know I won't be able to lift the toddler after section for few weeks.
Also, I am in the process of setting up activity baskets to entertain toddler when I am breastfeeding. Trying to figure out the logistics of breastfeeding in a sling from newborn, not sure that will work.

For myself, I am trying to squeeze in as much self maintenance as possible 😂 Haircut and colour, feet chemical peel and pedi, I use IPL to remove body hair, so making sure that's all done, steam the face and nose pore strips etc.

I still need to pack hospital bag and wash baby clothes though.

Congratulations OP!

It's great that you're so organised, you've thought of everything! Make sure you also take the time to rest rest rest, the closer you get to the birth the more tired you'll feel, so don't feel bad if you don't get absolutely everything prepped and perfect for when baby arrives.

Have just re read and realised this is your 2nd baby, so you'll know all this anyway! Enjoy and good luck.
