Any way to tell if I've miscarried

Hi everyone...

I know I'm being really paranoid. We'll hope I am.. I'm roughly 5 weeks with my second. I miscarried on my last pregnancy and found out during the scan that there was no more heartbeat.. I was terrified to find out I'd been carrying around a gratis for who knows how long that was no longer alive and had no idea.. I then had 2 chemicals in a row..

Now a few months later and I'm 5 weeks... I've been having dye stealers every day since one day before my missed period and been feeling very pregnant up until today... today nothing.

I have to wait two more weeks until my first scan and so scared I'm miscarrying and will carry around without knowing until the scan....

Is there anyway to tell before the scan if that's the case???

Sorry for the morbid post ;(

No sign of blood or cramps is a good sign so far I would say do a cervix test your self make sure your hands are clean and sanitised and put two finger up your vagina and feel for your cervix's if it feel soft that's a good sign

Please don't do a cervix test! If you do miscarry, God forbid, then you will forever worry if your fiddling was the cause.

It's completely safe to do aslong as you have clean hands feeling your cervix would not cause any harm to the baby as the baby is further up in her womb why do you think you can have sex while pregnant and it doesn't harm the baby do your research before you put the fear of god in people stupid

You could contact your GP or EPU for serial HCG blood tests but it would still need to be done over a period of days (im not sure how long exactly). Unfortunately there is no quick way of telling short of a scan but it is very early to scan at this point and that may cause further stress and anxiety if they can't give you an answer.
Many many women don't have pregnancy symptoms for a few more weeks, I had nothing until 7 weeks with both my pregnancies but I appreciate the anxiety given you had symptoms and your previous losses- it's such a worrying time anyway without having experienced that.
I hope these next few weeks pass quickly and your scan goes well.

Thankyou! The wait is so hard... I think I'll do another weeks test in a couple of days to see if it goes up xxx thankyou for the kind reassurance though.... waiting is the most painful part of pregnancy!!

Yes, I know full well having sex is safe when pregnant and the baby is high up BUT if you have anxiety around pregnancy loss you will never forgive yourself if you coincidentally miscarried after examining yourself and you would forever question yourself. Telling people to self examine for reassurance is what is stupid in this case.

@Torturedsoul Yh but what I'm saying if she was to do it she would not have to worry one bit that it was because she examined herself it's not a risk for the baby I would never advise anything if it would put anybody at risk so you putting the fear in her when she's already worried about loosing the baby was just unnecessary
