Have you had a baby in Derby recently?

I've got my first midwife appointment this month in Derby at the Florence Nightingale, I'll be 10 weeks. When I had my first a loooong time ago the midwife appointments were all at your local surgery rather than the central midwife hub and I think my first appointment was a lot earlier as well.

At the Florence Nightingale is this where you had your scans as well or were they at the Royal? Do you have a scan on your first midwife appointment? I assume not, but with it being at a hospital and later than it used to be I wasn't sure.

Thanks.

My midwife appointments are at a doctor’s surgery (not my local one, but that’s tiny). Then my scan is at the Royal (City Hospital as I’ll always call it). I don’t think there are sonographers and all the equipment at the DRI, but I could be wrong.

My first midwife appointment was 9-10 weeks, where they weighed me, tested blood pressure etc and gave me a plastic pack containing my file that you take to all appointments.

The first scan at the City Hospital was 12 weeks, so not long to wait between the two appointments.

Thanks, I assumed that would be the case but with it being at the DRI I wasn't sure if they'd started to combine the scan and booking in appointment! The Royal at 12 weeks it'll be I'm sure 😊
