9 weeks and cramping

Hi all.

I’m 9+2 weeks today and have pretty intense cramping since last night. I’ve had severe nausea for the past 2 weeks but woke up this morning feeling like the nausea dead down and my boobs are a lot less sore. I saw a little bit of blood this morning but I’ve had spotting on and off without other major symptoms since I was 6 weeks and the scan showed a haemotoma so I haven’t been worried about it until now.

I booked a second private scan for next week when I’ll be 10+3 for my own reassurance but that feels so far away. The cramping is just making me feel super nervous at the moment so some advice/reassurance would be really appreciated.

I had cramping through the first trimester. It was horrible, as I can cope with the pain, but I was worried about what was happening. Luckily everything was ok.

I had a haemotoma bleed at about six weeks, with mad cramping just before. Baby was oblivious though and fine.

Hoping everything’s ok for you too.

Im 17 weeks, i had cramping at 9 weeks so much it pushed me to have a early private scan all was fine also had cramping 14 weeks and sharp pains. As far as i know its round ligaments pain just the uturus growing and our body making space for baby 😊

Thank you both, I spoke to the GP who didn’t sound too worried so I’ll wait till the scan next week and see. It’ll be a long week 🥺

This is me right now at 9w3. Some weird cramping no bleeding though. What was your outcome? Have a scan booked forn10w4

@Ellsx6 you’re in my thoughts, I hope everything is ok. Thankfully all was well for me and I’m sat here holding my beautiful six month old daughter. She was my first so I went from quite a few reassurance scans because I was bleeding on and off. Although many will say too many scans aren’t good for the baby (and I’m sure they’re right) so whatever you need to do to ease your worry because stress can do just as much harm. I hope your scan shows all is well for you x

@Ebonythoughts this is my first to! It's nice to hear of a successful first pregnancy. Both of our parents first pregnancy ended in miscarriage so I feel extra courteous. We've been having weekly scans private..last one was couple days ago at 9w1 and baby's heartbeats fine and measuring spot on but still scared about cramps and I literally only have constipation as my symptom which doesn't help my nerves. I'm glad you have your beautiful baby in your arms..praying for that day xx

@Ellsx6 my mum said her first two pregnancies were miscarriages but it’s not genetic and everyone body and every pregnancy is different. I had food aversions and cramping that was it apart from the bleeds, my sister was sick for the full 9 months and I wouldn’t wish the latter on anyone. Your systems might change but for now enjoy not having too many. And I know it’s easier said than done but the best thing you can do for baby and yourself is really to be as relaxed and as a calm as possible. When you get to the 12 week scan you’ll probably feel more reassured but like I said, do what will give you some peace of mind but ultimately try and take it easy and rest. Your body is going through a lot to grow a beautiful healthy baby, be kind to yourself. Sending love x
